Why Charlie’s Angels Relays

Hi fellow Relayers!!

We are Team Charlie’s Angels.  This will be our 13th year participating in the Greater Shelby Township Relay for Life.  Our team is named in honor of our team captain’s father Charles, who lost his battle with cancer.

Some of the fundraisers we have done throughout the years have been:

Ice cream/restaurants, bowling, Bunco, scrapbook/craft show, euchre, road rally, wagon raffle, garage sale, corn stand, donation cans at local businesses, luminaria bags, sponsorships, published a cookbook, silent auction, vegetable plants, moons and stars, pizza kits, sheet sets, bus trip, jean day at work, classic car calendar, Painting with a Twist night, and celebrity waiter event.  Approximately 95% of our fundraising is done prior to Relay day.

Our tips for a successful fundraiser:

1)  Make it FUN – do something you are interested in

2) You can’t do it alone – ask family, friends, & neighbors.  Partner with a school or church group

3) Hold periodic meetings throughout the year with your team members to discuss ideas

As classic car owners, we decided to do a Revvin’ for Relay Classic Car calendar.  We are currently working on our 2019 edition which will be ready for purchase in November.

If you have any ideas that you need some help with or questions, or would like to purchase a calendar, we would be happy to talk to you at the next team meeting or contact us via e-mail at purpledi@comcast.net.

Happy FUNdraising,

Diana & Kevin Humphries
