Silent Auction – We are in Relay Week!

It’s Relay week – YAY!!!! Are you excited? For me it feels like Relay is close because I drag my Silent Auction boxes from the basement and when I see it all I get VERY excited!!!

So this email is the grand daddy of them all, every silent auction topic will be addressed! First of all, I will have extra BID SHEETS available on Saturday. But it would make life easier if you brought in COMPLEATED sheets at your specific time. Also, if you have more items than you told me – GREAT! I will take ANY and ALL donations!!!

FYIs:

* Bring your item(s) and COMPLEATED bid sheet(s)

* The Silent Auction is located at the Mapleview Pavillion, we are tucked away, and I’ll have a big banner with SILENT AUCTION on it!

For drop off purposes, your SPECIFIC time will be sent to you THIS WEEK. PLEASE be aware and respectful of that time you are allotted, I work hard to make a schedule that will allow me a few minutes to register each item in a timely matter, as crazy as it sounds it’s always efficient and always seems to work. I always say after more than 10 years of doing this, “if it ain’t broke don’t fix it!” That tight schedule is dependent on your promptness so PLEASE come when you are requested to. Also if you can shoot me your phone number that would be great! Sometimes I need to contact someone about a specific item or if it’s not moving I’ll suggest changing the price. If I have a phone number that would be great and I’ll keep it private :)

Now that that’s out of the way…please know that this a FUN aspect to Relay and a GREAT and EASY way to generate money for teams and the event in general. Don’t forget to come by and check it out and come “shopping” (and for the participating teams, we will give to a TOTAL of how much your team earned after the silent auction is closed). And although we are planning for sunshine, if there is some rain we have a pavilion that will keep your dry :) Come check us out!!!

If I don’t get a contribution from your team, I won’t be including you in the future email with the drop off chart. This was a last minute reminder / opportunity to donate if you forgot :)

Here is a general timeline for the Silent Auction:

10:30 – 11:45 = Donated items get checked in

11:45 – Noon = Walk On Donations get checked in

12:30 – 4:30 = The Bidding Begins!!!

4:30 – 5:00 = Bidding ends, tent is closed and we assign the “winners”

5:00 – 6:00 = People claim their items and the Silent Auction is officially closed for Relay

6:00 – 7:00 = my crew and I tabulate the totals and I hand deliver to each team how much they earned!

7:01 = I pass out and take a nap lol!!!
