Sesame Noodles
8 oz whole wheat spaghetti
1 tablespoon peanut oil
2 cloves garlic minced
½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional) or to taste
2 tablespoons tahini
1/3 cup peanut butter (I prefer chunky)
1 tablespoon honey (optional)
5-7 tablespoons hot water (starchy pasta water works well.
Salt and pepper to taste
- Cook spaghetti according to package directions
- Heat oil and saute garlic and pepper flakes for 1-2 minutes (don’t burn)
- Mix in tahini and peanut butter and whisk in warm water until sauce is a creamy consistency
- Add salt and pepper to taste and more pepper flakes if desired
- Toss with pasta and serve warm or cold. A great vegetarian/vegan side dish
