RFL of Greater Shelby Township 2025 Kick Off!
As we enjoy the last of summer, I wanted to remind the Event Leadership Team (ELT) and anyone else who would like to join us that our 2024 Event Wrap Up and 2025 Event Kick Off meeting will take place Thursday September 26 from 7-8 pm at the Shelby Township Activities Center – 14975 21 Mile Rd, Shelby Twp. Come with your ideas and feedback so we can make 2025 our best year yet!
The Relay for Life of Greater Shelby Township 2024 has closed with a grand total of $83,279.06 raised to end cancer in our lifetimes. 26 teams, 174 participants, and 51 survivors were responsible for our success. Thank you to each and every person or organization that contributed to our success!
The 2025 Relay for Life of Greater Shelby Township will take place on Saturday May 17, 2025 at River Bends Park. We are going to switch it up with a Garage/Vintage Sale theme where we will encourage everyone to sell their gently used items as on-site fundraisers and will also sell spots to local vintage sellers who would like to take part in our event. You pair these with the Silent Auction and we will have a shoppers paradise on our hands! All we need is a clever name and/or tag line so put those thinking caps on and bring your best ideas September 26. Right now the favorite “Cancer Never Gets Old”
2025 is the 40th anniversary of Relay for Life so you really want to be a part of the fun. The Relay for Life of Greater Shelby Township 2025 website is up and ready for you to register your team! I urge you all to go to RelayForLife.org/ShelbyTownshipMI and sign up today. Rumor has it that there will be a Fall Fundraising Challenge taking place November 1 – December 3. Details will follow, but be sure to register so you can take part.

Proceeds benefit The American Cancer Society’s Greater Shelby Township Relay for Life.
