What is the Greater Shelby Township Relay for Life?

Relay for Life is the signature fundraiser for the American Cancer Society staffed and coordinated by volunteers at Riverbends Park, 5700 22 Mile Rd. Shelby Township, MI.

This year we will relay on Saturday May 20 from 11 am – 11 pm.

We remember lost loved ones, honor survivors of all cancers, and raise money to help the American Cancer Society make a global impact on cancer.

We form teams to raise money before the event through all sorts of fundraisers, many you can learn about here.

On the day of the event, each team sets up a themed campsite to do even more fundraising that will count towards their overall team goal.

We walk the track for 12 hours and as a community we show survivors they are not alone in their journey, keep memories alive of those who are no longer with us, and plan for a future free of cancer.

We cheer for each other, play games, dance, and flat out have a blast at Relay.  We show cancer that it will not win!

Join us in our fight!
