Big Changes in 2026
Hello Relay For Lifers and welcome back for the 2026 Relay For Life of Greater Shelby Township, scheduled for Saturday May 16, 2026 at River Bends Park.
This year’s event will be held from 12:00 noon to 6:00 pm.
Be on the lookout for all of your favorite activities like silent auction, survivors lap and luncheon, live performances, games, food trucks, craft vendors and luminarias will all be part of our new, streamlined event!
The theme this year is 20/20 Vision for a Cure which both acknowledges the 20th anniversary of our Greater Shelby Township event, and also puts everyone on notice that we are laser focused on ending cancer in our lifetimes!
More Registered Members Means More Money for Your Team
We are doing a recruitment challenge for all teams participating in the Relay For Life of Greater Shelby Township. The team with the most registered members by noon March 12 will win $200 toward their team’s fundraising goal. The team with the most registered members by noon April 9 will win $300, and the one with the most by noon May 16 (at the event) will win $500. If your team has the most members all three days, your team can win up to $1,000!
Craft Show Information
We will be hosting a craft show again this year and would like you to spread the word to the crafters and non-profit organizations in your life. Like last year, crafters who want to sell their wares at our event will be given the opportunity to have a 12×12 space for a $25 donation to our event. We are also on the lookout for non-profit organizations who would like to participate. If there are non-profits who want to set up and distribute information about their organization, they can do so for free. If a non-profit wishes to fundraise at our event, they can do so for a $25 donation. Either way, please have them text Chris Fecteau at 586.306.9176 for more info and to reserve a space.
Little Ceasars Pizza Sale Wednesday January 21 – February 20
It’s pizza time! Wednesday and for the next 4 weeks, we’re selling Little Caesars Pizza Kits and Meal Deal Codes to raise money for Relay For Life of Greater Shelby Township. To reach our goal, we need everyone’s help. It’s easy to join the fun!

March Madness Squares: Team Charlie’s Angels will once again be selling squares for the NCAA 2026 Tournament. Click here to see the flyer. There are 63 chances to win with the purchase of one square. Proceeds go to our event, and the contact number is 810.217.1484.
Euchre Tournament: Charlie’s Angels are also hosting a Euchre Tournament Saturday, April 18th. Click here to see the flyer. Doors open at 5:00 and play starts at 6:00. Advance payment is required, so contact Jamie or Mary via phone or email listed on the flyer.

2026 Meeting Schedule:
Attending meetings introduces you to your fellow Relayers and gets you up to speed on all your Relay needs.
Where: Shelby Township Activities Center – 14975 21 Mile Rd, Shelby Twp.
Who: Event Leadership Team (ELT) meets at at 5:30 to socialize with official meeting beginning at 6:00
Team Leads and Volunteers meet at 7:00 (come to the ELT meeting if they are interested)
